പതിനഞ്ചാമത് ഉജാല ഏഷ്യാനെറ്റ് ഫിലിം ആവാര്‍ഡുകള്‍ കൊച്ചിയിലെ വില്ലിംഗ്ടണ്‍ ഐലന്റില്‍ താര നിഭിഢമായ സദസ്സില്‍ വെച്ച് വിതരണം ചെയ്തു. സ്പിരിറ്റിലെയും റണ്‍ ബേബി റണ്ണിലെയും പ്രകടനത്തിന് മികച്ച നടനായി തെരഞ്ഞടുക്കപ്പെട്ട മോഹന്‍ലാലിന് കമലഹാസന്‍ അവാര്‍ഡ് സമ്മാനിച്ചു. ബാവൂട്ടിയുടെ നാമത്തിലെ അഭിനയത്തികവിന് മികച്ച നടിയായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത കാവ്യാമാധവന് മമ്മൂട്ടിയാണ് അവാര്‍ഡ് സമ്മാനിച്ചത്. അന്‍വര്‍ റഷീദ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ഉസ്താദ് ഹോട്ടലാണ് മികച്ച ചിത്രം. സ്പിരിറ്റിന്റെ സംവിധാന മികവിന് മികച്ച സംവിധായകന്റെ അവാര്‍ഡ് രഞ്ജിത്ത് കരസ്ഥമാക്കി.
പ്രൗഢ ഗംഭീരമായ അവാര്‍ഡ് നിശയില്‍ വച്ച് അഭിനയത്തിന്റെ 25 വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കിയ ജയറാമിന് കമലഹാസന്‍ മൊമെന്റോ സമ്മാനിച്ചു.വിശിഷ്ടാതിഥിയായെത്തിയ കമലഹാസനെ മമ്മൂട്ടി പൊന്നാടയാണിയിച്ച് ആദരിച്ചു. വര്‍ണ്ണോജ്ജ്വലമായ കലാപരിപാടികള്‍ അവാര്‍ഡ് നിശക്ക് തിളക്കം കൂട്ടി.
